Soooooo, I went to the movies two days in a row: watched 9 yesterday, and watched freaking PONYO today.

Tim Burton and Hayao Miyazaki, you'd think that these two pwonesome directors would sure enough relieve me of my traumatic experience with the infamous movie/book "Twilight" with all it's gloriously horrendous twinkling diamond-skinned vamp-boy and his lovely Mary-Sue spelled B-E-L-L-A.

It kinda did, and then kinda didn't.

Well, mostly didn't with Ponyo, anyway.

Animation, CG, character design, setting, storyline, background, music, those weren't the problem. No, in fact they were all AMAZING, as usual, and all of my \"wanna-be-animator-but-is-too-lazy-to-do-it\" senses were tingling all over.

The problem was the overall FLOW.

9 was good. VERY good. Except the flow was a bit fast for my taste. Maybe if it were a TV series or a book, it might've been better, I dunno.

BTW, 7 was totally badass. And 2 and 5 should get married. Then 9 should go P-I-M-P on 2 and 5, then marry both of them. I could care less for 1 and 8, but then again, they should get married too.

3 and 4 (the twins) are totally the hidden fanboys, -coughcough- imeanyeahohlookapumpkin.

And 6...well, you can continue scribbling.

M'kay, enough with my fangirl rant.

Ponyo made me freaking CRY. I mean, out of disappointment and...well, disappointment. I really can't believe this is really Miyazaki's last movie...but then again, I really can't believe what he says; last time he said he was making his last movie was when he was making Princess Mononoke. Look how that ended up.

Anyways, all I can say is Ponyo is a selfish little brat who literally SUNK A FREAKING ISLAND WITH ALL IT'S PEOPLE STILL ON IT to go see little Sosuke. Ahhh, I can hear little girls saying "AWWWW THAT'S SO SWEET SHE ESCAPED FROM HER EVIL DADDY'S PLACE AND CAUSED UNNEEDED DESTRUCTION TO GO SEE HER SWEETHEART HOW ROMANTIC".

Please, someone, throw me a giant clam to smash my skull with.

A TON of unanswered question still lingers after the movie, leaving me with a really bad after-taste. Now I really need a mint.

But at least Fujimoto was adorable. And Kouichi. And Ponyo's mommy is HAWT.

Now I wanna see Inglorious Basterds, District 9, Alice in Wonderland, the Princess and the Frog, and Vampire's Assistant. Really really really bad.
